Hi everyone, welcome back to my blog! Today I will be talking about two famous organs in our body. I decided to do this post out of the blue but I had a lot of fun learning about this topic and below I have my 2 guests, Hair and Nail, to talk about themselves! Take it away!
Nail: Hi! I’m the Nail! This is my friend Hair!   Â
Hair: Hi! Me and Nail are very close in relation!
Nail: Yes! Today we are going to
tell you guys about our relationship
and how we grow! Hair, why don’t you start?
Hair: Thanks, Nail! There are 8 layers of cells (dead or alive) that make up our skin. The first 5 layers are called the epidermis, the next 2 are called the dermis, and the last one’s called the hypodermis.Â
Nail: Hair comes from the second
dermis layer called the reticular
dermis.
Hair: I start off as a hair follicle which is a tear drop like organelle. Then as I grow into a hair an arrector pili muscle attaches to which makes me stand up when you get chills.
Nail: The Hair is made up of dead
keratinocyte cells in the follicle.
This is the same hair that we dye
all sorts of colors.
Hair: That’s right, Nail! Now why don’t you
 tell us your story?
Nail: Mmhm! Hair comes from the
reticular dermis but I come from
many layers higher! I come from
the stratum corneum of the epidermis.
In this layer 15-20 layers of the KeratinÂ
cells are stacked up and start to move out.
Hair: Yes, that’s right! All this Keratin moves out and becomes my friend Nail! And like people dye me different colors, women like to paint Nail with nail polish as well!
Nail: Haha! Yes, we are the only organs
in the body that look good in different
colors!
Hair: Hahaha! You’re so funny, Nail!       Â
But that wraps up our class today. I hope y’all enjoyed it!
Nail: See you next time everybody!
And as me and Hair like to say,
Nail & Hair: Above & Beyond! Byeee!!
Love,
Monkey Me
